Thank you for visiting Island Eyecare Doctors of Optometry (“Island Eyecare”, “Our”) website (the "Site"). We are doing our best to become a leader in the online retailing of glasses and any product that helps with eyecare. The Site was designed by us, Island Eyecare, ("we" and "us") a company with limited liability situated in and vested under the laws of the British Columbia, to provide a convenient, private and informative shopping experience for consumers to purchase glasses, contact lenses, and related products. We of quality frames with top-of-the-line prescription lenses to help consumers handle their eyecare needs without dealing with the outrageous prices of larger retailers. We sincerely want every visitor to our website (“you”) to have a secure, and accessible visit. This is why we have outlined the following terms and conditions.

These general terms and conditions are applicable to any use of the Site and to any agreements concluded between you and us through the Site. If you do not agree to any of these Terms and Conditions, you cannot use this Site and/or buy any products or services through this Site. We make changes to our website, our policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Use as our company changes and grows. So please know that at anytime the policies and conditions that govern the use of the Site might have changed. We encourage you to review the Terms and Conditions periodically and look through our policies. Please know that your use of the Site shall be deemed to be your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, of any changes and of the reasonableness of these standards for how changes will be made.

 

Your Obligations

In consideration of your use of the Site, you agree to provide correct, current, and complete information about yourself as needed by the checkout form and when making your account. Further, you agree to update your account information to ensure it is correct, current, and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue, incorrect, not current or incomplete, or we have reasonable grounds to suspect as, we may suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current and future use of the Site. Account Information and certain other information about you are subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our privacy related practices.

 

Your Conduct

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from posting on or transmitting through the Site any unlawful, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind, including but not limited to any material that encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

You agree not access the Site unless you first obtain our express written consent to do so. You agree not to access the Site by any means other than through the interface that is provided by us for use in accessing the Site. Further you agree not to copy or duplicate any aspects of the website without consent to do so.

 

Valid Prescription Required

By using our Site you certify that you have a valid prescription for the contact lenses or eyeglasses that you are ordering. You recognize that we are a replacement contact lens company and only sell lenses or prescription lenses for valid prescriptions that have been provided by your optometrist or eye care practitioner. By placing an order, you are stating that your information is correct and exactly matches your prescription as provided by your eye care provider. Further, you hereby consent for us to contact your eye care provider, or request a copy of your prescription to verify your any necessary information if required.

 

Color and Product Description

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors of our products. However, we do not warrant that the product descriptions are accurate, complete, up-to-date, or error-free. If a product offered by the Site is not as described, your remedy is to return it in unused condition.

 

Delivery

Deliveries will be as soon as possible to the address on your order. We are not liable for delays outside our control. We use a reliable and fast method of shipping (3-day across Canada and across the US). However, we are not at fault for delay

 

Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your glasses and contacts. We will issue a full refund or replacement if:

• • Prescription glasses or contact lenses were supplied incorrectly as per your prescription.
• • The products you have ordered are returned to us as undeliverable by the postal service.

In all instances for returns there is a 30 day window from the day you receive to the day you can return your frames or contacts to use for a full refund. As long as we receive the frames and contacts in in resalable condition, undamaged we will process your refund. Please know that contacts are considered medical goods and therefore must be unopened.

If an order is returned to us as undeliverable, we will contact you to confirm the correct address. If no reply is received within a reasonable period, then a refund will be made to your account.

Please know that as lenses are custom made to your prescription, coating choice, and then cut to the shape of your frame, we do not accept returns on lenses. However! If you feel there is a manufacturing error we will accept the return and if our inspection shows that they were incorrectly made we will remake them for you at no charge.

Please know that we do not currently have a system for free shipping for returns, so return shipping is to be paid for by the customer. We may refuse to accept future orders from those who have made previous unconfirmed claims for non-delivery of goods. Refunds will are limited to the maximum value of the original order and will only be issued to the same credit card, PayPal account, or method used to pay for the goods. We reserve the right to reduce the level of the refund if any of the original items are missing, damaged, or have been used.

 

Price Matching

We will price match the price of any frame, prescription lens, or contact lens of our competitor.

To get your Price Match completed we will need a link to the item in question. This way we can review that the item is lower in price, currently in stock, and offered by a legitimate retailer (as determined by us).

Please know that coupon codes and special offers cannot be combined with our Price Matching methods.

 

Eyeglasses Policy

Shipping and Payment

We accept the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Discovery, Amex or PayPal. Payments can be only be made online. We do not accept payments over the phone.

We use a priority shipping method that takes approximately 3-4 business days, nation-wide.

If you place an order for contact lenses, please know that we do not keep a stock of these items and order directly from the manufacturer. As such, contact lenses are subject to the turn-around time of the manufacturer.

If you order frames without lenses, we will process your order within 2 business days and ship out to you once processing is completed.

If you order frames with a lens option, we will process your order within 2 business days and start the lens manufacturer processes. Single vision lenses take up 2-3 business days to complete. Progressive lenses, transitions, or high-index lenses take about 6-8 business days to manufacturer.

Please keep in mind that we inspect all our orders before shipping. If your eyeglasses happen to fail quality assurance, your expected delivery time will be delayed.

Lastly, please know that ownership of the product transfers from Island Eyecare to the customer at the point of shipment.

 

Return Policy

Need to return your order? Please contact us to start the process. Returns must be in the entirety of the order and in resalable condition or the return may not be accepted.

• • Frames: We really want you to like your glasses. That’s why you have 30 days from when you receive them to return your frames to us, for any reason, and we will refund you in full. As long as the glasses are received in resalable condition, a 100% refund is what you will get.
• • Contact Lenses: You can return any unopened and undamaged boxes of contacts to us for a full refund within a year of your purchase date.
• • Lenses: As lenses are custom made to your prescription, coating choice, and then cut to the shape of your frame, we do not accept returns on lenses. However! If you feel there is a manufacturing error we will accept the return and if our inspection shows that they were incorrectly made we will remake them for you at no charge.
• • Return Shipping: Please know that we do not currently have a system for free shipping for returns, so return shipping is to be paid for by the customer.

 

Prescription

It is important that you know, when your eye care practitioner provides you with a copy of your prescription, that prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses can be different. As such, you should ensure that you are ordering as recommended by your prescription and in accordance to your eye care practitioner’s recommendations.

Trademarks and Logos

Island Eyecare and other graphics or logos used on the Site are the trademarks of Island Eyecare. Clearly trademarks may not be used with any third-party products or services. Other brands and names are the property of their respective owners.

 

Uploads, Contests, and Order Forms

All photographs, text and Chat discussions you may upload for use in our social media storefronts such as but not limited to, blogs, Facebook and Twitter, are licensed to and subject to use by Island Eyecare on the site or on Island Eyecare advertisements, banners or blogs. We will remove such items if you request it.

• • Contests: All entries submitted for in any contest, even those sponsored by a co-sponsor, shall become the property Island Eyecare. Contest Rules provide the rules and they supersede anything herein to the contrary.
• • Sales: Coupons, codes, sales, and special pricing are as advertised. All special sales will begin and end on the announced Start Date and Time (we generally work in Pacific Standard Time).

 

 

Our Rights and Alleged Violations

We reserve the right to terminate your access or suspend access to all or part of the Site, without notice, for any action or conduct that we believe is in violation of law, term and condition, or is harmful to another user, customer, third party, or us.

We do not intend to disclose any contact, records, or electronic communication; but, you must agree that Island Eyecare reserves the right to access your account and records on a case-by-case basis to investigate complaints, infringement, or unauthorized use of the Site or of the Terms and Conditions. In the instance of such an investigation, we may disclose content, records, and electronic communication of any kind to satisfy laws, regulations, or governmental requests; or if such disclosure is required to operate the Site.

To ensure that Island Eyecare provides a high-quality experience to all customers, we reserve the right to refuse the sale of products to a user if it appears they have violated the Terms and Conditions, if we believe they intend to resell the products, or if we feel they have intentionally input false information.

 

Termination of Access

Know that if you no longer agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions you must cease your use of the Site. We reserve the right to suspend or deny your access to the Site with or without notice. Your use of our website is taken as agreement that any termination of access to the Site may be effected without prior notice and that we may immediately deactivate or delete your account and all related information and files in your account. Further, you agree that we shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access to the Site.

 

Applicable Law

We make no claim that all or some of the Site is appropriate or available for use in other locations. Those who choose to access the Site do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
